Josh, the boys and I are heading back to San Francisco/Berkeley tomorrow for two weeks so I will be away from my desk until Monday, August 15th. I will be checking my email and voice mail, but will have no access to my computer. See you in a couple of weeks Austin : )

I made chocolate ice cream the other day and boy was it rich and yummy. The recipe was from David Lebovitz’s fabulous book The Perfect Scoop.

Some weddings are more memorable than others. Stephen and Sara’s was definitely one of the memorable ones. They got married at the Courtyard at Gas Light Square in Corpus Christi. The whole evening was filled with warmth and love. I especially love Sara’s relationship with her wonderful sister Camille. After the ceremony Camille, Stephen, Sara and I headed to the water to take some quick pics of the couple. It was glorious. Just smelling the water was such a treat. After a yummy dinner the dancing began and boy were they all great dancers. The beautiful cakes were made by Sara’s aunts, grandma, mom and one of her bridesmaids and her flowers were done by Always in Bloom. And I LOVED her dress. It was so Edith Whartonesque. Congrats to Sara and Stephen. I was honored to be included in your wonderful day. Big thanks to Rachael Hall for second shooting with me.

Summer may be the time of year I hate the most now since we live in Texas and it is hot as hell here. But the food does much to offset that hatred. Summer food is just so darn good. And the farmer’s market becomes my favorite place. I have to get there early though to get to the good stuff before they run out. And of course to avoid the worst of the heat.
