I must confess that I am not encouraging mobility in this household. Once Ben can move around the house, I will have to move around after him. And that terrifies me. My favorite position is lying down. Next is sitting. Needless to say, motion is pretty far down on the list. Every time I see a parent running after a toddler, a shiver goes through my spine. That will be me. It is without a doubt, my future. And I KNOW that I will do it far less gracefully than most of the hipster parents I see doing it. I feel sure that exposed underwear will be involved, not to mention a few trips face down on the pavement from the clumsy one (ME).I wish nothing but the healthiest of lives for my little Ben. I can't wait to see him running around, happy as a clam. Just not yet. For the love of God--NOT YET!
