Welcome Miss Maggie

Whenever you feel overwhelmed and life cannot get any more hectic it is a great time to get a new dog, right? Especially a one year old who still acts very much like a puppy. But when we met Maggie we could not resist. She is love on a stick. She was rescued from a parking lot by two little kids and then rescued again from a kill shelter by Austin Dog Alliance. And we adopted her from them. And now here we are. She is lovely and ADORES the children. She does need training, which we start next week. So look forward to many more photos of her. I even attached a little video here of Sam playing with her. Sam is besotted. As soon as I picked him up from school yesterday he made me go to the pet store to buy a chuck it so that he could throw the ball to her at the park. Lula could definitely take or leave her, but luckily Maggie pretty much leaves her alone. She did try to get Lula to play with her today and Lula looked at her like, are you insane? She is a bit afraid of the camera, but seems to be warming up to it quickly. So now we are six. Luckily she is a girl so the estrogen count in this family has increased just a little bit : ) If the video will not play try the link: http://vimeo.com/39238321
