It's the Little Victories

Today I took back a bra to Nordstrom. It was a $70 bra. Now, I do not ordinarily spend that much money on anything. But I am a big believer (along with Trini and Susannah) that the right bra is everything. I may go out of the house in crappy sweatpants and a stained tee, but I will damn well have on a good bra. So I had bought this bra a few months ago and the other day the underwire started poking into my skin and it HURT. It had broken through and was now stabbing me. My very own bra was trying to KILL ME. It was treachery at the highest level. So I returned it asking for them to exchange it. The saleswoman asked me how I washed it. I replied that of course I hand wash it (yeah right!) so she gave me a new one. It was a very satisfying moment. It was nice after often being a doormat so very many times and saying "Sure I will do that for free" to being on the receiving end. If I didn't love my new bra so much I might have to burn it I feel so liberated.
