Meghan and Marcus Got Married | Austin Wedding Photographer

My first contact for Meghan and Marcus' wedding was Meghan's mom Jill, who is as sweet as can be. We booked the wedding before I even met Meghan since she is a busy television meteorologist in North Carolina. I must admit that I am leery about taking weddings where I have not met the clients, but sometimes that cannot be helped and in this case it worked out just fine. More than fine. I LOVE Meghan. I did not get much of a chance to spend much time with the groom, but I did get to meet with Meghan and Jill twice before the wedding and I always felt so at ease with them. And Meghan is so full of life and has such great expressions and so much warmth in her. Marcus is more quiet and subdued, at least at first glance, which makes them a perfect match in my mind. The first word that comes to mind when describing them is 'kind'. And I love Meghan's relationship with her father and the way they joked with each other. It did sprinkle a bit and Meghan's predictable obsession with the weather was a nice diversion from the usual bridal anxiety. But for the most part we came out unscathed by the rain. And Camp Lucy is a beautiful venue. A HUGE thanks to my second shooter Dave McLaughlin. Dave always makes weddings fun for me and talks me of the ledge when I freak out about off camera lighting. Some of these photos are his.
