Out of the Office

Josh, the boys and I are heading back to San Francisco/Berkeley tomorrow for two weeks so I will be away from my desk until Monday, August 15th. I will be checking my email and voice mail, but will have no access to my computer. See you in a couple of weeks Austin : )

Wedding Photographers Listen Up (and that means me : )

My friend Jon posted a link to this post today and it is a great inspiration to me. A fabulous way to kick off my 2011 and to push me to improve constantly. Here is one of my favorite excerpts from Daniel Milner's post: I also found myself wondering, “Who is hiring these people,” and by the looks of it… MANY people are. But again, as a photographer, if you are comfortable hanging in the 80% range, okay I get it. For me, I want to be in the 8% range, otherwise…I feel like I’m wasting everyone’s time. If anyone can do it, then why should I? If I have nothing to say, then why say anything at all?

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend regardless of what you celebrate. It has been a wonderful year and I am so grateful to all of you for your support and for being a part of my life. Your comments and feedback make me a better photographer and make me feel like I don't work in a vacuum. I am endlessly grateful for this.

Vigilante Justice Sucks

My print and product ordering system's host is Amazon, which you may have heard was attacked by hackers yesterday over the Wikileak controversy. Ironically the hackers left Amazon unharmed, but shut down many small businesses such as mine all day yesterday and wreaked damage on our databases. Please let me know if you are experienceing any problems with my ordering system so that I can remedy it as soon as possible and thank you for your patience. And by the way,  I support Wikileaks and its right to exist, but can't they leave the little guy like me out of this?

Google Reader Issue

I am having trouble with Google reader—if I just hit add subscription and type in http://www.bonnie-berry.com/blog. I have gone through Google's trouble shooting and all looks good so I am perplexed. So if you subscribe to my blog and your feed is not showing it correctly, just hit the SUBSCRIBE button on the upper right side of my home page and choose your feed program and you should be good to go (or copy and paste this link: http://feeds.feedburner.com/BonnieBerryPhotographyBlog). If you have any problems PLEASE let me know. Thanks : )
