Jordan and Esther are getting MARRIED this evening, so I thought this would be a good time to share their engagement session. After having to reschedule twice, we finally got it right on this beautiful early June evening. Congratulations Jordan and Esther. I cannot wait to see you two beautiful people get hitched.

Katy and Daniel didn't want to do the typical schmaltzy engagement session and I was curious to see what we would come up with. So we headed out on a Sunday morning armed with props and their two year old Basset Hound Obi. Those of you who know me know I am a sucker for short legged, long backed dogs and bassets are some of my favorites. Obi did not disappoint. We had a wonderful time and I had such a great time chatting with them that I had to remind myself to raise my camera every once in awhile. Since they asked me to shoot some film at their wedding in April I brought along my Hasselblad and had some fun shooting medium format again. I can't wait for their wedding, if for no other reason than to spend some more time with them.

When I met Heather, her best friend Sarah and her mom Libby for the first time, it was as if we had known each other for years. We gabbed for ages like a bunch of old friends. It is just that way with some people and Heather is definitely one of those people for me. I headed to Fredericksburg to meet up with Heather and her fiance Jody for their engagement shoot. Jody is as laid back as they come and a true gentleman to boot. We had a great time hanging out and taking pictures and they were up for any crazy idea I had. It was a lovely morning.Edited to add: Melissa just asked me where the flower sequence was shot. It was done at Wildseed Farms in Fredericksburg. I loved so many of these photos of Jason and Alyson's engagement shoot that it was hard to choose which ones to blog. We shot these in downtown Round Rock and had a great time doing it. They are not only a whole lot of fun, but they also indulge me in geeking out over Harry Potter with them. I can't wait for their November wedding. It is going to be amazing.
